Invented by Henry Marx and manufactured by the Phonoharp Company in 1912, the Celestaphone is a "mandolin guitar zither". It features a row of fixed weighted hammers that have a unique repeating action. This antique Celestaphone is in excellent shape, and would be mint if it weren't for the crack near the soundhole. The crack has no effect on the sound, which is spectacular.
