This Leslie 18 rotating speaker is in excellent condition. Built in the 1970s, it is the ultimate rotating speaker effect in guitar cabinet form. Emulated by about every stomp box manufacturer there is, the Leslie 18 is the same speaker as the Fender Vibratone, but with different branding. These were made famous by Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Harrison (while my guitar gently weeps), Jimi Hendrix (little wing) and many others. The Model 18 incorporated a 12" jbl speaker, which this has, where the smaller model 16 used a 10" speaker. The model 16 used a crossover in the wiring rig to only let the mids come through, but the model 18 can handle the full range without the crossover. The footswitch is not included, but you can easily run audio straight to the speaker through the upper two pins on the male plug in back. There are two speeds on the Leslie. This Leslie looks excellent, though it has minor scratches and tears here and there in the tolex. It is a fine example of Leslie and Fender history.
