Yamaha Electone EX-2 Vintage Analog Synthesizer Organ Keyboard (with original Yamaha TX-III tone cabinet)
This vintage Yamaha EX-2 polyphonic analog synthesizer is one of the rarest, most complex, and most expensive synthesizers ever built. Yamaha's flagship stage synthesizer/organ successor to the ultra rare Yamaha GX-1, this beautiful instrument packs all the sonic possibilities of a standard organ and polyphonic synthesizer into one gigantic and unique package. When released in 1977, the EX-2 had a $25,208 price tag. That's $96,227 today when adjusted for inflation, making it the fifth most expensive synth (in today's dollars) that Yamaha ever made, way more expensive than a CS-80 (which cost $6900 at that same time).
This synth is in very good vintage cosmetic condition and excellent functional condition. Everything on this EX-2 works perfectly, other than that the key contacts on the high B and C pedals do not currently work (and no one really uses those notes on a pedalboard anyway).
It comes with the rare Yamaha TX-III tone cabinet that originally came with this unit, which also works perfectly and sounds excellent! Also included are the bass pedals and the matching bench.
The features of this synthesizer are much too extensive to list here. There are a few videos on YouTube that fully detail all of the capabilities of the EX-1, the big brother of the EX-2. Just search for "Yamaha EX-1" and prepare to be amazed.
