This Maestro electric piano was made in Japan for Chicago Musical Instruments (the former owners of Gibson guitars). It looks like a small, 61-note upright piano but is actually an electric piano similar to that of a Wurlitzer electric piano. The action is mostly made of plastic, and the reed and pickup structure somewhat resembles that of a Wurlitzer 200, but rotated 90 degrees. The case is made from lightweight particle-board and incorporates a single loudspeaker. The Maestro sounds sweeter and less aggressive than a Wurlitzer. The internals are largely same as the Denon Elepian and are very similar in sound, though the pickup system is different.
