The Hohner Guitaret is an electric piano/kalimba-type instrument that has reeds like a kalimba/mbira, plus a hand-activated damper system. It is played in a position similar to a guitar, but when playing it, the player's left hand functions as the damper release and the right hand (usually with pick) sweeps across the reeds, which stick out by about a millimeter and are arranged in chord patterns. It's a wonderful-sounding instrument: like a hybrid of an electric piano and electric kalimba in timbre, but approaching the sound of a vibraphone at times.
This Hohner Guitaret is in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect functional condition.
