This Martin D-28 guitar, serial # 1016XX, has its solid original spruce top, vertical grain Brazilian rosewood, original tuners, replaced bridge/bridgepins and oversprayed top. It is accompanied by original hardshell case, and is in good cosmetic condition and excellent functional condition. The neck and headstock are in exceptionally nice shape for their age. This guitar has definitely been played and loved a lot. There is nothing wrong with it functionally. It plays great, frets well, and sounds like heaven. Neck is halfway between a C-profile and V-profile, feels great, and is a breeze to play. Some of the finish has come off at the sides. There are five tight, stable cracks in the top and one in the back, bass lower bout. There are no cracks on the sides/neck/headstock. The binding is good and tight all around, and the tuners work perfectly. The frets have plenty of life in them, but are nicely played. The neck is perfectly straight. It has a nice medium-low action of 5/64" at the 12th fret. A hardshell case is included.
