This J.C. Deagan Marimbaphone is extremely rare and almost 100 years old. It features a 3-octave range from F-F. Marimbaphones can be played with bows, as the bars and resonators rotate 90 degrees in order to enhance bowing access, and can also be played with mallets when the bars and resonators are in their "regular" position. The Honduran rosewood ("Nagaed") bars are tuned A=440 and in good condition. The resonators are also in good condition, especially considering the age of the instrument. The frame is in good shape and rotates properly, but has crack in the rails that was repaired and stabilized.
