Originally purchased new in the 1980s, this set of 42 gongs runs from F2 to C6 in range and includes 3 stands. The lower and higher registers are oriented vertically and the middle register is oriented horizontally.
The gongs were professionally tuned in 2011 and are in excellent condition except for the issues detailed below:
The A2 and C#5 gongs are missing from what would otherwise be the full 44-note set. The G2 and G#2 are both slightly sharp. The A#2 has a buzz when struck, however there are no cracks in the gong. The D#4-F4 gongs sound duller than the rest of the set.
