This antique keyboard glockenspiel is in excellent functional condition and very good cosmetic condition. The bars have been replated and retuned to A=440 by Gilberto Serna at Century Mallet and sound wonderful. The action is much nicer than a Hawkes keyboard glockenspiel, a popular antique portable keyboard glock from that era, and it has a clear yet sweet sound due to its brass hammertips. According to the previous owner, this keyboard glock came from a Baltimore family, so it was likely made in the 1800s by an American builder. This is a very rare and special antique instrument with excellent functionality and a gorgeous timbre.
Dimensions: 21" x 17" x 8"
