This rare early EMS Synthi Hi-Fli pedal comes with its original stand. Serial number 9064, the sixty-fourth Hi-Fli made out of a total production of 450, this vintage guitar pedal synthesizer is in beautiful condition and features the early series chunky nylon-dipped pedals. This unit has been recently refurbished by EMS and Steve Thomas. Only a small number of these virtually indestructible diecast pedals were supplied before a change was made to the cheaper Solasound pedal shells. The previous owner added a useful modification switch that allows the permanent envelope system to be bypassed. David Cockerell's original design prevented the Hi-Fli from being used with a continuous non-percussive audio signal. A mains on-off switch has also been added on the front panel. Evidence of two other modifications (now removed) can be seen. A jack socket was connected in the middle of the front face, now replaced with a blanking plug. It was retrofitted with the Growl modification by EMS.
